Poetry on her Macintosh

Die 91jährige surrealistische Künstlerin Dorothea Tanning malt nicht mehr, lesen wir in der New York Times (24.3.02*).

Instead, she writes poetry on her new Macintosh, on which she is also learning to use the Internet. Her poems have appeared in The New Republic, The Boston Review and Poetry. Last summer, she published a memoir, „Between Lives.“
[Über den Surrealismus:] „There’s enough of greatness in there that there will always be something rewarding for someone who likes to look at beautiful things and wonderful paintings. Surrealism is a piece of history, and it has stained the consciousness of everyone.“

Hier gibt es einen Text der Autorin (Fortune Cookies, in: Boston Review Dec. 2001/Jan. 2002).
