Bees have long been recognised as some of the most remarkable creatures on the planet, whose flight, navigation, communication and social organisation provide us with challenges to our anthropocentric views. Especially for this year’s City of Lond Festival, Poet in the City has commissioned five of the UK’s leading poets to write original poems about bees. At this amazing event the poets will be reading their work in public for the first time. With David Harsent, Jo Shapcott, Fiona Sampson, Matthew Welton, Luke Heeley.
