Jorinde, komm ins Schneckenhaus.
Da wolln wir beide schlemmen:
Auf Schutt gebackne Haselmaus 
und Mus von Schimmelschwämmen.

Da schlachte ich den Goldfasan.
Im Kessel schmort mein Igel.
Da trinkst du Milch und Lebertran 
aus fosforrotem Tiegel.

Jorinde, komm ins Schneckenhaus, 
eh sich die Wolken färben.
Die Nacht schlägt uns die Augen aus:
Da schmück ich dich mit Scherben.

Da mach ich uns ein Bett aus Schrott 
und schenk dir meinen Schatten.
Und bau um uns ein Bild von Gott 
aus Draht und Panzerplatten.
