After the grand jury in Ferguson decided not to indict Darren Wilson for killing Michael Brown, a group of poets began posting videos all over the internet under the hashtag #BlackPoetsSpeakOut. The poets start each video with the same mantra: “I am a black poet who will not remain silent while this nation murders black people.
